Tradition Veggie Garden

Sometimes it is hard to really get the whole picture on blogs. My goal today is to share with you a little piece of what I’ve been up to this summer. What better way to do that then with a video?!

Not only do I grow in my 10′x12′ greenhouse all year long , 7 large raised beds, and landscaping filled with perennials and annuals, I enjoy growing food for my family in a traditional veggie garden. This year my goal was to cut cost while providing for my family all year round. We’ve also been working hard to learn how to keep things green to make our surroundings healthier. Please take a moment to check out my video below were I share what I have growing this first week of July in this country garden. I hope to give you some ideas and inspire you to grow something green.

Everything growing in this Traditional Veggie Garden I started from seed for under $15.

I realize not everyone has a large yard. BUT DID YOU KNOW that you can grow all these things in your in town lot? Seriously?!!! Check out my friend Shawna Coronado at her Casual Gardener blog. It can happen for you – grow your own and save money while keeping healthy!

With all these gardens to tend to I don’t usually find much free time. When I do find extra time to kick back my copy of the Green Gardener Guild is close to my favorite hammock in the shade garden. I have learned so many new ideas to keep my home and garden green reading this book. Thank you Joe!

Did I inspire you to get in the garden? Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or just want to add to my spam filter. IF you are interested in finding out more about starting seeds check out the links in this search : SEEDS .
