<itunes:subtitle>Thoughts and Ideas of a Midwest Gardener : excited to share the world of gardening from my neck of the woods. I grow year-round in Ohio and I'm excited to share the experience and who I met along the way with you.</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>With a background in the Fine Arts, Brenda continues to express her love for gardening through her blog and photography. Midwest born and raised this Ohio native created the BGgarden.com website with aspirations of sharing her experience with others. The creative plan of documenting the healthy and colorful environment in her family's home and garden for the past 3 years has been a constant thread of sharing life in the garden. Through her photography she has been able to capture moments, edit and display them on the web. Brenda specializes in capturing the world of gardening on location at various garden events—industry shows, conferences, flower and garden shows. On the country property that she shares with her and her husbands and two children in Ohio she manages to find time to document what is involved with growing year-round in her 10’x12’ greenhouse.

In the seven months she has worked independently in social media networking #gardenchat. This Twitter based forum covers all aspects of gardening. Brenda has organized a hot guest host list that includes best selling authors, garden product developers, landscape and garden designers, garden celebrities. She has also used the forum to promote and create a buz about garden events and shows. Her goal with this networking project is to educate and bring current gardening trends to the masses through social media.

Potential Reach: Brenda's' goal is networking the garden industry through podcasting, demonstration videos on Youtube.com, and various forms of social media.

She also sees herself producing creative slide or power-point presentations for garden centers and industry leaders, assisting with webpage design, and introducing others to worlds of Twitter and Facebook.

Niche: Brenda likes to grow, maintain, harvest and preserve food from a 2400 sq/ft traditional vegetable garden. She has various gardens through out her country property that included shade/ woodland gardens and developing herbaceous borders in full sun. Deciduous woody shrubs are gaining interest with to provide bloom and interest on the property.

Future goals with her own gardens is to build a larger scale greenhouse to she can propagate, seed, grow, and cultivate plants to beautify her 16+ acres.</itunes:summary>
