Not sure how to participate? I added this how to video to the #gardenchat network back in the Fall of 2012. I need to update the video with some of the new apps that are now available to use Twitter but this will give you an idea on how easy it is to join in the conversation with 1,00O’s of others using Twitter during this event each Monday.

If you have any questions or suggestions I hope you will contact me via my blog so we can connect on #gardenchat!

Tulips and Tomatoes

While my April tulips are putting on a show it is my reminder that I need to finish up the early indoor starting of my Summer tomatoes and peppers. I took this photo this afternoon while out weeding.  It is a windy day in my Ohio garden but I’m loving the color and the time spent out playing in the soil.

What are you finishing indoors as far as seed sowing goes?

A Visit With Robert in Tropical Paradise

Outside the TPIE 12 Event in Sunny Florida

It isn’t often I get to visit some of my gardening friends I know only through social networking. I must admit I feel we have been close friends for a long time as we connect on #gardenchat  sharing daily what we love most.  It is a true blessing to meet up with my garden network friends at garden events and on that rare occasion I actually get to tour their personal garden. In January of this year I was a guest of Costa Farms at the TPIE12 event that took place in Fort Lauderdale Florida. What a treat to be surrounded by the amazing growers who make many gardens come alive throughout the States not to mention the world. One evening in between photographing and networking the show, the talented tropical paradise grower Robert Bornstein whisked me away to his amazing hideaway not far from the coast in Florida.

Robert will be sharing in a free seminar today at the #GSS12 event .  This is a free webinar featuring many of our favorite growers.  You can find out more about this event by visiting Corona Tools Website.

An Artist in Paradise

It was getting dark … but I was able to snap a few images from my visit to one of the most energizing gardens I’ve visited in the south. Roberts garden is real, practical and totally creative and it is an honor to be able to share it with you in the collection below.  If you can not view this album please visit the link : Picasa Web Album by BGgarden.com

Be sure to stop by Roberts site at Robert Bornstein to learn more about his therapeutic approach to gardening.

Miniature Gardening in the Northwest

It was hard to miss all the creative miniature gardening designs this past year at most of the garden shows.  One of my favorite designers was featured at the Northwest Flower Garden Show this past February.  She was also a vender at the IGC Trade Show in Chicago this summer.  I can’t believe with all the networking and garden shows we’ve both attended in the past year our paths have yet to actually cross.  I’m talking about  designer  Janit Calvo of Two Green Thumbs Garden Center and today I’m sharing photos of her beautiful mini garden designs.

I’m excited to announce that Janit will be the guest host at tonight’s #gardenchat that I over see.   I’m sharing these images from the NWFGS 2011 featuring Eat, Pray, Love Themed display which  was named after the popular novel that was turned into a movie last summer. The project was by Janic Calvo and Christina Salwitz .

This is my share for the week:

This past weekend I had fun tweeting with a few new garden connections on the #gardenchat stream.   This Twitter user caught my eye on the #gardenchat stream because she has a kitty on her profile picture.  @AquamarineSteph blog is really cool because she shares some neat tips on how genealogy works.   I’m totally interested because I’ve been working on orgainizing some old family photos that were passed on to me.   Stephanies site is filled with tips on how preserve facts as well as some neat old facts she has collected along the way.  This is why I’ve picked her for my #Read’EmAll Tuesday person to blog about and who you should check out!

Find her over at Twitter : @aquarinesteph And her on her blog by clicking HERE!

Some of the Photos I’m working on and Inspired to keep plugging away after reading Stephanies Blog!

Don’t forget to share what blog you are enjoying this Tuesday over at that #gardenchat blog!
