Christmas Give Back To Nature #GardenWalk

My Thursday #gardenwalk share is from The University of Michigan Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. It is a quick hour drive up north from my home and garden and I wish I could get up there more often to visit.  Matthaei Botanical Garden and Arboretum connects people with nature. They teach about sustaining the earth, caring for our natural heritage, sharing knowledge, and promoting learning.

I love the mums at the bottom of the tree being used as a skirting – Brilliant!

Mixing airplants, dried fruit with a modern color glass bulb – Delightful!

The fresh scent of pine mixed with the fruit was unforgettable.

Give back to nature by adding dried fruit to your outdoor tree this year.

I invite you to join in the #gardenwalk fun every Thursday on Twitter.  My dear friend Jo of Digging Around heads up this Twitter event that you won’t want to miss.  Be inspired and share from the gardens in your world at #gardenwalk.

Please take a look at what your local botanical gardens are up to this time of year and enjoy the magic found only in the garden!

  1. Love the natural elements on this tree! There is some great chatter going on at our message boards about natural holiday decor from your garden, and it’s HIGH on my to-do list to check out the Garden Lights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden before the holidays are over. It looks beautiful, as does this #gardenwalk you’ve shared. Thanks Bren!

    • Great to connect with you Mallory. Thank you for stopping by my site and I’m so excited to see HGTV sharing more from the garden! I look forward to following you into the new year.
