There is something about the cooler temperatures and putting the garden to rest that makes me want to start serving up appetizers. Today I pulled the last of my heirloom tomatoes that I grew from seed from my garden and I’m thinking it is a time to celebrate the amazing harvest we had this past year.
The recipe I’m sharing today is one I’ve been making up for years from memory. I have a scrapbook in my kitchen that I have been adding to over the past 20 years of being married and this recipes was kind of a spin off of an old Pampered Chef friends family recipe. To kick it up a notch I added a few of the thai pepper seeds to the mix and topped the spread with thin slices of those last tomatoes.

Make it easy and tasty by adding some of your own freshly grown heirloom tomatoes.  There is always next season to try growing some love to add to your kitchen dishes!
