Rain Date for Everyone

After 9 days with no rain it arrived with a welcome!

During the humid morning hours I spent time laying soaker hoses in my traditional veggie garden and hand watering my greenhouse blooms with my special organic brew. It is the worst when you have sweat dripping down your back as you work in the shade : sorry if too much information! By late afternoon I was ‘toast’ as I went to fix myself another large container of ice water. That is when it happen. I immediately broke out in a dance. It never fails, pull out the hoses and get a good watering for your garden and it will rain!

The veggie garden awakens from its hot slumber and begins to sing.

The beetles have arrived!

It would appear from the image above that EVERYONE is enjoy the rain. Those ‘dang’ beetles really need to get a room out of my garden!

Happy Friday Everyone! I am working on a video about my traditional veggie garden and I hope to have it up before the weekend. Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing the love of gardening with me! – Bren

Sounds like you’re having one of our summers … I know exactly how it feels to have the sweat dripping down your back … and your legs … and your arms! Your garden is looking lovely … really like that porch photo!
