Summer Holidays like the 4th of July are always a treasured time to enjoy with family and friends. Each year I enjoy bringing this fabulous recipe to most of our summer events. Aunt Marys' Italian Pasta Salad
Always a hit in my kitchen as well because it is super easy to prepare and is loaded with super yummy fresh goodies I can find right from my garden here in Ohio. I also want to note that this is a large passing dish that can be made for under $5 !
SERVES 10 - 12
Ingredients:
- 16 oz package of thin spaghetti noodles (prepared as directed on box).
- 2 cucumbers, diced with peels on
- 2 large ( 4 oz) vine ripe tomatoes
- 1 small onion , diced
- 1 medium
red bell pepper, diced - 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 12 oz of Italian salad dressing ( I use my herb Oil recipe)
- 1/3 cup of real parmesan cheese.
- 4 tablespoons of Salad Supreme herbs
Directions:
- Cook pasta and rinse in cold water until cool.
- Add oil and onion and let sit in the refrigerator over night.
- Prepare the veggies as listed in ingredients above.
- Add the remaining ingredients and serve immediately
NOTE: Leftovers do not keep very well.
