I love it when my Garden Friends multitask by share their treasures and feed my addiction for collecting seeds! The video below is a quick demo on how to start tomato seeds with some tips I found on the Bayou Gardeners site.
What did you think? Please leave a short comment so I know someone is watching my video tips!
When starting seeds this year I am sure to have all the supplies I need on hand to make the task go faster and easier. I am tweezers to help put those tiny seeds into the containers they will be planted in. I am also using some recycled foil containers. My video above gives step by step on how I planted my seed gift from Collen Vanderlinden. I can’t wait to watch these Japanese Black Trifele grow.
I was super excited to see these Geraniums I started from seed finally taking off just in time for Fertilize Friday over at Tootsie Time. My Greenhouse sister will be so proud to see I finally got a few to grow. Yippy…… Thank you Glenda!
Seymore is just hanging out watching the spring seeds I just planted in this raised bed. This could be a problem as the seeds start to grow.

it all looks amazing. I love the changes you made to the sidebar…very pretty girl…the Geraniums are looking great! See…I told you not to worry too much about the temp you had going on. Just you wait…next year you will be an old pro…nothing will stop you! Okay…you will still stress about the temps…I still do and it has been YEARS for me. hahaha
Thanks for linking in today…love the video clips you do…you are so much braver than I am!
I am so honored that you stopped by Glenda! Thank you for the wonderful comments and all your support with learning how to grow those little geraniums.
Loved your post!
Thanks for joining in!
*hugs*deb
It is so satisfying to grow from seeds! I can feel your excitement at your successes! Your kitty is looking happy too!
Great tips here, I thought everyone had tweezers in their gardening tools..hahaha
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! YOU TRULY made me day. It has been ‘lonely’ over here at my new site.
Happy Gardening – I look forward to sharing the joy with you!
Great tips Bren! Seymore is so glad you built that cat bed and litter box just for him LOL!
Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully this cold spell will be short this time of the year.

OH NO… I didn’t think of it that way! ( litter box)
aloha bren,
wow, i’ve never done geraniums from seed…i’m too lazy and just take cuttings and fortunately they take off easily here…have a nice weekend
Glad to know about the tweezer tip. I wish I had known this yesterday before I planted most of my seeds.
I don’t know if you’ve already said and I missed it, but what is your seed starting soil mix recipe?
Robin, here is my mix that I use :
4 parts peat
2 parts perlite
2 parts vermiculite
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for doing the video. I did not know about worm casting mix. I’ll have to try and find it. Do you use it with your plants in the garden or just when you start your seeds?
Great post – thanks for sharing! Aren’t cats silly! I feel like the cat whisperer when I work in the yard. My two follow me around everywhere.
