Just when I thought I would be able to collect my thoughts to share some words that best describe the Chicago Flower & Garden how 2010 I opened my Picasa album. I found myself back in comma from the exploding color with a creative spin in and out of the garden!

They let me loose in the Navy Pier before the doors officially open and I found myself rushing through trying to take it all in! It was like a $5 show sale at Neiman Marcus!

I’m sure most traditional Gardeners would have never thought of putting a doll in the garden. What better way to get children involved in the garden then to teach them with the wonderful best selling books by American Girl Doll Company. I love the creative little Pizza garden.
It may have been drizzly rain and highs only near 40*F in the windy city during the Chicago Flower and Garden show but it sure was a walk through spring in the show. After attending a few Garden shows early this month I was amazed at the variety of blooms under this huge roof. Shawna of Gardening Nude found the perfect place to do a presentation on Growing Green. Those tulips just POP… don’t that????

In the center of the show the story of Alice in Wonderland was alive and blooming. The Queen of hearts didn’t make me want to run but only look closer for the rabbit. Where is that rabbit? I missed him and the witch under the house that Mr.Brown Thumb shared on his blog.
Table Designs that truly inspire!
I actually heard a few show goers critizes the creative table displays as I returned over to the displays once the show opened. I had to take a double take at the older lady who put her nose up to this design. I am loving the unique quality of this garden presentation. Have you ever seen a wine bottle used this way at a flower show? Not to mention look how fresh those roses are on the second to the last day of the show! The designers of these pieces of art put their heart and soul into these designs.
I came back to this spring circus table design not once, not twice, but three times! I still do not feel I capture the magic of the orange and pink blooms that dance together on this table. Wouldn’t this be a great Birthday party table!!!
This container on the left could be my favorite from the show last weekend. A handful of coleus and tropicals’ make the perfect photo at the Chicago Flower and Garden Show.

Lovely looking show. Wish I could have seen it. The hanging containers in weird shapes and that crazy looking queen in the Alice garden look amazing.
Plus the roses on the table with the beer bottles, and ash tray. Intriguing idea, a little injection of messy real life into the fantasy. (Not that an ashtray would be part of my real life, these days!)

We missed our opportunity to sell art (small floral paintings) at the show this year. The economy was just terrible for our artists.
Nevertheless, how did you manage to obtain exclusive access to the Flower and Garden show before the doors opened!
I really love the Alice setup and of course the perspecive of the tulips (Am. Girl pics) are amazing.
