Blogger vs. WordPress

Flowering Cabage from Fall 2009

I was shocked this afternoon after asking my Garden Network on Facebook which Blog service did  they prefer when the response was over overwhelmingly for WordPress.

Frustrated with trying find the program that will allow me to be free to create a  design that is ME without being held within boundaries has brought me to the end of my rope.  For the past three days I have lost sleep trying to figure out how I am going to add my Blogger to my website.  Today I took the plunge and started a new blog account.

The first thought that entered my mind was my ‘followers on Blogger.  I enjoy getting the updates on the ‘dashboard’ and knowing that my ‘followers’ are receiving mine as well. There is always the RSS feeds and of course I will link as many as I can to my new WordPress site.

I am loving the features on the WordPress network.  It was a breeze to connect  the blog to my already existing Domain.  This has been a liberating experience in a cyber space kind of way!  It does kind of feel like I have lost a piece of my ‘identity’ in the blog world leaving my blogger account behind.  I will be sure to keep it up with links to the archive.

Excited to announce I am off to a new level of blogging with my web page attached. The possibilities are ENDLESS and I  hope you will follow me on this journey!  I am off to get some much needed sleep.  Be sure to click on my RSS feed at the top of this page so you can get my new BGgarden blog updates.

*I must note that after I posted this blog on my new WordPress account I decided to check my ‘Settings’ and I accidentally wiped out that FTP link.   I was able to fix it in the morning only having to redo my basic layout.

*2.10.10 – just a few weeks into using WORDPRESS and I completely love it! ♥ Bren
